Dry grasses wherever I look.
That's how the countryside looks like when the summer ends.
They don't care about elections, masks and dumb people with their dumb decisions. I could just sit down and watch them swing on the wind. And stop caring for a little bit too...
Shot those in the end of August in Alentejo region, Portugal. Fields of cork and olive trees surrounded by grasslands with sheep, cows and pigs. Small country roads with nothing but dust and that enjoyable silence...
Tamron lens with the nice soft bokeh just adds more calm to the shots. The wind didn't want to cooperate especially when I tried to shoot those with long, skinny stems, but I guess I cant have it all :p.
Below is a forgotten cabbage that managed to bloom and produce seed pods - that's the ones that look like long brown beans.
Wild carrot flowers are don't for this season too. Most of them anyway. I saw some confused ones still blooming here and there. I am always curious about the actual carrot root on those and I keep forgetting to pull one out and see.
And last but not east and peace of that famous cork tree. The branch dies and broke off, but you can see the cool bark texture. That's the cork you find in wine bottles, my friends. After some processing of course.
