I was booked on a photoshoot today with quite a few photographers and more models than is probably good for my pulse. Unfortunately, the venue cancelled on us, citing lack of available staff to open the doors. So and I with
re-arranged timings and venue and decided to go with two of the remaining models, Amy Elizbeth and Lauren Annetts. We ended up in Loxley at an old favourite location of mine I know well with it's abandoned buildings and quite a lot of quality graffiti.
First up is Amy Elizabeth. Once I'd picked my jaw up off the floor after first setting eyes on this absolutely beautiful woman, I managed to bag quite a lot of images:
Blonde Bombshell
Within one of the abandoned buildings in Loxley is this old office with smashed windows. I placed a Godox AD200 strobe immediately behind Amy and fired away. It's one of my favourite lighting effects to light hair in this way although it does tend to make the model's arms look hairy too!
Reclined
I've bought a new Sony 20mm f1.8 lens and was itching to use it. Not bad at all...in fact it's razor sharp.
I'm a lightpainter, I can't help it
Let me loose in daylight while I still have smoke pellets left and I will set them off with a gelled flashgun. I can't help myself. Another with the 20mm Sony.
Planking
Amy and Lauren decided they were going to climb up on to a first floor deck for an epic looking shot. It soon became apparent that climbing up this plank in heels might be somewhat tricky! So we had to settle for Amy reclining on a plank.
There's that plank again...
Low down and dirty
The floors and every surface in Loxley is pretty much filthy! I had to try a low down shot with the Sony 20mm f1.8 and shot wide open for the blurry background
The Dirty Bum Behind the Scenes Shot
And finally towards the end of the shoot it became apparent that Amy may need a shower when she gets home! On the right is capturing Amy's best side!
There will be more images from this photoshoot in another post soon, watch this space....
About me:
