Well actually I didn't get wet but Lucille certainly did! This is few more images from a photoshoot at TankSpace, a studio with a huge water tank and a rainfall set. https://www.tankspace.co.uk/
The tank in question is approx 12,000 litres with a perspex screen along one side where photographers can shoot models swishing about in the water. It feels like cheating in that I was warm and dry but the models went to much more effort than I did to capture these images!
The rainfall set consists of an array of pipes in the roof of the studio with nozzles evenly spaced. Thankfully for the models, the water is heated slightly!
Lucille in the tank
I shot many images on this shoot and I have many versions of more or less the same poses. Lesson learned for me from this shoot is not to be so "click happy" with a camera that can shoot 10 frames per second at 48mb per uncompressed RAW file!
Bubbles
I started off processing the images I got in the tank by painstakingly Photoshopping out the bubbles or particles. It's a laborious process and I don't have hours to kill so I decided enough was enough and damn the particles!!
Lucille in the rain
Having a 24 megapixel camera and quailty lenses means I can crop in quite close and still retain plenty of detail. I'm a big fan of the close crop when shooting models.
Lucille certainly loves her tattoos!
Close frame
Every day is a school day and here I've framed up the image slightly too close for my liking. We have another shoot coming soon at TankSpace so lesson learned I'll most probably stand a little further back!
Those damned LED lights!
On a group photoshoot in a studio, you don't get that much control over the lighting. It's not a critism, it is what it is and it's best to improvise and work with what you get. The LED lights here were provided by the studio and I found them difficult to photoshop out of the images (my Photoshop skills are clearly not the best!).
So I've posted this one with only minimal edits to show what I had to work with. I suppose the viewers of this image aren't as obsessed with the lighting as I was!
About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
