green stars reflect in
your eyes — wrap yourself around
my limbless body
grasp with green fingers
at the blue sky above us
and find nothing there
infinite potent
sow your seedlings over me
as I try to breathe
green starry fingers
filled with seeds — never again
will I beckon thee
yellow contrasted
against the expansive green
forever potent
yellow contrasted
luring me into the web
of deceit again
white mischief sweet smell
will you take my hand and guide
me through your green mind
dance to your mind please
and let me dissolve into
your presence again
purple green delight
my eyes will never become
one with your beauty
Postscriptum
It is funny how quickly a week can dissolve into nothingness. Another week has flown by as I am still recovering from the marking I needed to do with my lecturing work. Now, I need to find the will to be creative and write on my Ph.D. Today, I attempted to re-awaken my creative side with some green haikus and green photographs from the garden. I hope you enjoyed them.
The green of one's garden is something spectacular after the rain. It is, as my mother would say, a delight for the eye. With my camera, I can get these greens to shine. For some colors, like blue, the camera tells me it does not like them. But with green, the Nikon old camera still shines. I have always tried to focus on the colors that the camera loves.
In any case, I hope you enjoyed the photographic journey of some of the plants currently growing in my garden with me. If you also like poetry, I hope you find my words somewhat poetic. I tried to be inspired by the photographs and let the words speak in unison with the photographs.
Stay well, and be safe.
The photographs were taken with my Nikon D300 and Tamron 300mm zoom lens or 50mm Nikkor lens. The poetic words are also my own creation.
