At the beginning of June, I went for a weekend in the mountains and as so often there was bad weather forecasted in the afternoon. In fact, we were quite lucky because the rain just started once we reached our accommodation for the night.
We were pretty pessimistic for sunset because there was really no sunlight coming through. Even minutes before sunset was supposed to go down, everything looked really gray. However, once the sun went lower than the rain clowds, the sunset was absolutely incredible. The whole scenery changed literally in seconds and it became one of the strongest sunset I ever saw - especially in the mountains where the sun usually doesn't get too low and therefore not so intense. Experiences like this are exactly the reason why I love it so much to stay on mountain huts!
