As we were approaching the entrance of the beach, the sound of silence was deafening. This place hasn't been so quiet for months. Considering that yesterday was the most crowded day that I witnessed all summer, today's silence was even more extraordinary. We immediately knew that the beach bar was closed and the high season was officially over. The extreme heat is also over so from now on, it would be the best time to enjoy the beach. That is of course if you live near by or you have the chance to visit during the fall!
The piles of chairs and sun-beds confirmed what we already knew. The workers were packing the bar's stuff and removing the straw umbrellas leaving a lot of free space behind them.
This is a small beach but it is only a few hundreds meters away from the town centre so it is very popular both among visitors as well as locals. It is also the beach that the winter swimmers prefer so you can see someone swimming here even in the middle of the winter.
And it is my favourite beach too :)
There are still a lot of people around and they will be for the next months but the difference is already huge. Instead of music and screaming kids we could hear, once again, the gentle sound of the sea crashing on the rocks and the sing of the cicadas from the trees above. It was a wonderful morning on the beach and it will only get better.
Last year I had my last swim the day after Christmas and the way the weather is evolving, I am not expecting anything less for this year too :)
I took those pictures with a Redmi Note 12s mobile phone and I haven't edited them at all. I hope you like them anyway :)
All the pictures and the words are mine.
