Almost hypnotised, I was drawn by its bright pink colour, like a moth to a flame. I was doomed to succumb to the urge to get closer and take a few pictures without any further delay.

Its Greek name is "koutsoupia" but no matter how you call it, the beauty of its blooming is unique and undeniable! The last years they use to plant them in the parks and the sidewalks of the towns, so it is easy to find and admire one!
And I have found more than one :)
I don't know if they just bloomed today but it was this morning that I saw them, during my walk and they truly enchanted me!
The dog on the other hand, wasn't happy at all, with my long stops under each tree that we were finding in our way and my persistent denial to move with his pace!
When I felt confident enough that I had captured, at least a fraction, of the beauty of those amazing trees, I started walking a bit faster and turned my lens to other subjects too. I wouldn't want to bore you with my new obsession, after all :)
I guess it is official by now, spring is here and the winter that we were waiting for months, never really came, in this small part of the world!
Well, better luck next year :)
