It is that time of the year again, that I open my computer only when it rains!
What time is that?
But the olive's harvesting and the olive oil production season! A time consuming and physically demanding job, that can drain all the energy of one's body. The days are spent at the olive grove and the evenings are just enough for taking a bath, preparing dinner and resting in front of the fireplace. Taking the time to sit in front of a screen is something that I just can't fit in this routine!
But today, after 12 days of rainless weather, dark clouds have gathered on the sky and it has been drizzling since dawn. The forecast is predicting heavy rain and storms but I wouldn't count on that. Anyway it is not a day to be out in the fields. So here I am editing a few pictures that I took 10 days ago and catching up with my favourite platform :)
Actually I took those shots on the same day that I broke my phone, a little extra in my mandatory detox from the online world! I still haven't find the time to take it to a repairman to make sure if it is fixable or not but I am actually enjoying the absence of the ringing and clinking all day long. And it is almost scary how many times per day I feel the urge to grab the phone from my pocket and surf for a while, even though I don't really need it. Of course I have to repair or replace it, at some point but for now I am just fine without it!
And the fact that is always around and I can borrow her phone, when I really need it, definitely helps :)
If you have read my previous post, you might remember that 10 days ago I was at my grandmother's house which is at another part of Crete (the Greek island that I live in). The adorable puppy that is the star of all the pictures, came from the neighbour's house. It is small enough to pass through the fences and apparently its curiosity was bigger than its fears, so it came to pay us a visit :)
It is a very long time since I last played with a puppy and this visit was a wonderful gift. It is so nice to have a happy, furry creature like this one, waiting in your front yard after a hard day's work! And when it is early enough to catch the evening light, a few pictures are in order :)
Ending the post with a flower is the best way I can think of and the #AlwaysaFlower idea by is just perfect for it :)
All the pictures and the words are mine.
