What does it take to make a bunch of new pictures?
I had light coming in from the window.
I had a camera charged and ready, with a macro lens attached.
I had an itchy feeling on the tip of my finger,
the one that goes away only when you press the shutter.
I had everything but an excuse.
What to shoot for no apparent reason?
Just for the sake of it?
And then I saw it!
A bouquet of dried flowers.
Not dead, just lifeless.
Still colourful, still elegant, still lovely.
And I started shooting.
Someone said that macro lenses are portals.
They must be.
How else could I have found myself
in such a delicate and elusive world?
I haven't been around here much lately. It has happened before. It may happen again. For now I try to keep in touch as much as I can. The truth is that hive looks a bit empty lately. I am struggling to find what to vote. Maybe I am too many years here and the people I used to follow are not active any more. I guess some new creators are coming along but I haven't had the time to connect with any of them.
I took those pictures the other day in our workshop. We have already share some of them in our Instagram account and I may also use them in my substack that I started recently.
The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 6D mark II with an EF 100mm f2.8/L macro lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic.
All the pictures and the words are mine.
