The next best thing after traveling is remembering old travels! So today I want to invite you to a walk around the fortified walls of the old town of Rhodes, in Greece!
I was there a few years ago in spring time, the best season to visit Greece and enjoy all its beauty without the extreme heat of the summer.
Around the castle there is a huge moat. They used to fill it with sea water when the town was under attack but now it is transformed to a pedestrian area, ideal for long walks and why not, a small picnic :)
The old town of Rhodes is probably the biggest and most well preserved sample of medieval architecture in Greece and one of the hottest tourist attractions of the country.
It is also a hangout for a lot of artists willing to trade their talent for some cash.
No need to say that I spent the whole day wandering around and the next day I come back for some more :)
All the pictures and the words are mine.
