Heyaaa! š
I hope everyone has a great day! š
For I and my family the week started with a new journey but this time in a different country than Romania, yay!
So despite what my name says, I and my sister only got to visit Barcelona in 2019 while we never explored other realms than these from our homecountry. So we were very excited for this adventure and counted the days until the moment finally came.
However, since we actually arrived in Treviso yesterday and not today, this post is not intented to be a clickbait but to actually bring a honest opinion about the first thoughts and impressions after a full day of activities.
Anyway, after our flight was postponed with around 10hrs, we could easily feel like this is not the best start because we were already losing a lot of time that could be used to explore what Italy offers on this side of the country, but we kept out excitement level high and arrived at the airport with a few hours before the flight.
The company we flew with was Ryanair which honestly I heard a lot of bad things about but since we are not so experienced when it comes to flight companies, we decided to keep this thought on the distance.
We actually got to fly with lots of dancers that were on some sort of championship or something like that, but the thing that bothered me the most was the lack of space on the feet and then when the stewardess got our luggage out of the space dedicated to these asking us to keep them on our feet which made us unable to move the feet anymore.
The best part was that the flight was around 1h 35m so we tried to enjoy the emotions flying again and look out of the window whenever a city could be noticed. Nevertheless, the time flew away and the moment to land came.
The Airbnb we rented was just 3.5km away from the airport but since we didn't know the city and additionally being dark outside, we decided to take the bus which could bring us closer to destination. However, we only stayed in the bus for two stations and then started to walk through the city on the way to our new home for the next couple of days.
I don't know how other cities look like at 8 PM, but the biggest surprise was to see the streets of Treviso very empty and to barely notice a car or some people here and there. Perhaps it was only the neighbourhoods we crossed or being a small city - I don't know. But overall we enjoyed the walk and even managed to get some pictures.
Another disadvantage though, that we had to feel on our own, was to find out that all the markets get closed on 8PM which was weird because in Romania they are open until 10PM or so, not to mention about all the restaurants that are open even until 11-12PM.
So coming after some good hours spent in the airport and then almost 2 hrs flying made us feel a little bit hungry but happily we were tired enough to fall asleep quickly and take care not to have the food missing the next day (today), which was full of things to be seen because we took a train ride to Venice. But more stories from there in the next posts! ā¤ļø
Have you ever visited Treviso before?
