Good day everyone. It's been awhile now that I posted in this community. Last 2 weeks ago I have the opportunity to have a little vacation at Kundasang, Sabah which is located at the highlands in the interior of North Borneo island. It's really been very long for me to have this kind of vacation just to wind up and relax. Most of the time, I've been busy indoor working in front of my computer screen finishing all the video edits for my video clients. So, having these kind of opportunity is very rare and I might have to planned my schedule in advanced for a year maybe so that I can have this vacation more frequently.
So, today post I'll be sharing my portraiture that I have taken during this vacation. Actually, this vacation trip is the Sony Workshop Event that being held in Kundasang for 3 days and 2 night. I can consider this as a vacation because most of the event schedule is involved a portraiture session, a lot of eating time and mostly visiting a place that is suitable for outdoor portraiture. Even the place that we stay for the duration of the workshop is very scenic and beautiful. Here I present one of our models during the workshop, Cassey wearing all in red. The place that we visit is the Kundasang Dairy Farm, a cattle farm that located just at the foot of the Mt.Kinabalu.
In this portraiture session, I'm using my old vintage lens Helios 44-2 58mm f2.0 manual focus for the entire duration of the session. Since I'm so accustomed to autofocus lens, I'm really struggling with this lens to get a tack sharp focus of the subject. The main reason why I used this lens is because of the swirling bokeh that it produced. Most of the time, I cannot nailed the focus but then again one of the characteristic of this lens is that the photo it produced a soft photo unlike the newer version lens nowadays. So, here's a few photo of her during the portraiture session.
