Good day everyone. This is my second entry of my portraiture session for Dewi in which we went to the second location located in a beach of Tuaran, Sabah. Our first portraiture session can be read here if you happen to find this posting first. The first session were conducted in the morning which we started at 8am so the sunlight won't be harsh at that time. After the session, we went to lunch and depart to Tuaran at 2pm. The plan was to shoot a casual beach wear at 3 or 4pm and waited until the sunset to shoot the evening gown.
Here's a selection of photo from the casual beach wear that were taken during that session. There's another version of this selected photo in black and white. If you interested to see it, do find it here

For the second outfit in this session, we waited until just half an hour before sunset to start shooting. It's quite difficult to adjust the lighting as we used the stairs as a background for her and the wind is quite strong. The light strobe almost fell because of the wind and we need to adjust it to the height of the model. Here's a few photo selection from that shoot.

These two set of photos has a different colour processing that I applied. The casual beach wear sets, I applied the Kodak Portra 160 and 400 film emulation to get that film look removing a bit of the digital sharpness. I've been interested in film look lately and Kodak Portra have caught my attention. Mostly because of it's great looks on skin colour. I will continued to experiment with this film stock settings to get familiar with certain light situation it will look. The evening gown sets I just let it be as the originally look from camera with just slightly edit on the basic exposure, colour and a bit of retouch.
This is the end of my 2 chapter posting of Dewi portraiture session. This is only one of many session that I have with her since I collaborate with Anavau Events management. I'll be posting of her other portrait session again later in a different post. Until then, have a great day everyone.
