Since I posted about some photography collaboration, I will now share about another collaboration, but on another level. Because this time, we will not collaborate with a make-up artist but with a body painting artist. This collaboration can be realized because we have a good and supportive community.
For preparation itself, it took approximately three hours (I was on location from the beginning). And I had a little bit of conversation with the painting artist.
He says: "3 hours it's not enough to do body painting because I can't do the detail precision. So I do apologize if the results is not good enough."
But for myself, the results are very good. Because I've never done conceptual photography with a body painting artist before. So, I was very happy when he finished his work. The concept is "Abstract," so the body painting artist can do whatever he wants with the model.
For the technical photoshoot, we used three strobes for lighting—one using octabox120 for the main light and two using strip box 30x120 for fill light. And also, the community have support from camera dealer to use medium format camera for this photoshoot.
And here is the results:
The name of the model is Nifa. A little information about the model is that she is a real model. She has done a catwalk for some local branded fashion. So we don't need to worry about making their mood or posing her because she has modeling experience.
The photoshoot was awesome because It was my first time using a medium format camera. The detail of the results is very stunning. I can see the detail of her eyes and skin pore. It's my dream camera. You can see more about the results here.
I hope you can enjoy my image. And now I'm falling in love with conceptual photography.
