Hi, my friends in the photography lovers community. How's your weekend going? Is it fun? I hope we all have a great weekend. And, of course, I also hope that we can always continue to work in the world of photography and be able to share it here so that other friends can also provide tips and tricks. As well as, those who are new to the world of photography can learn through our works.
I will also share one of my recent photo shoots with the newest model. The model name for this photoshoot is Nita. Previously, Nita had never done a professional photo shoot and had no experience in the modeling world. So this is a challenge in itself for me in a shooting.
Of course, many friends here do photo shoots with professional models. Because this will make it easier for us when building the mood for the model and directing style for the model, and sometimes we don't need to lead the model poses because they already understand just by looking at the mood board we provide.
However, because it is difficult to find experienced models in my city, I finally tried to find models with no experience for my portfolio. Indeed, the drawback is in terms of directing the style and building the model's mood. Because most of them are still very shy when they first do a photo session, that's where our job as a photographer is can practice speaking and directing styles. And this is a plus when we deal with more professional clients and models.
In this photo shoot, I wasn't too much into trying to direct the style. Because this was Nita's first experience, I wanted to make her comfortable. The way I do it is to take her joking. And I also tried to get her to do simple poses by relying only on the property of a chair. And as you can see above, I think the results are pretty good for a beginner.
After I felt that Nita was comfortable enough to do several poses using a chair, I finally tried to do a photoshoot without a chair. And here are the results.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot that this photoshoot's theme is Black Venom. I was inspired by a Korean girl band when doing a photoshoot, carrying a minimalist concept but showing that women are beautiful and strong. Here are some other photos from the photo session with Nita.
