Hi, all friends in the photography lovers community. How are you guys today? I hope we are always in good shape, so our work is not delayed and remains according to plan. I'm sure friends in this community must have done a photo shoot at night, but for me, it was something new, and usually, I would avoid shooting at night. This is because I am not confident in doing photo shoots at night. I am afraid the results will not be good enough, and there will be too much noise. But last week, I just challenged myself to shoot at night.
I took the photo at night with my favorite model, Eci. Of course, this is nothing new for both of us to do photoshoots. For the concept this time, we decided to play with Tumblr light because of shooting at night. The only light source in this photo shoot was a Tumblr light.
If you ask what the most challenging thing about shooting at night is, I will answer that: finding a focal point. Technically finding the focal point at night is difficult, especially since my camera is quite old. So it takes patience to do this photo shoot. And luckily, the model was also understanding enough so that the photo shoot went smoothly. In addition, due to low light conditions, it required me to use the lens's largest aperture, F1.4. And here is the result.
I think the result is quite good because this is the first time for me to do a photo shoot at night. What do you think? I also hope you like this photo. I admit that quite a lot of my photos are out of focus, even though I have used eye tracking, but this feature is quite confusing for my camera processor because the conditions at that time were meager light. But I am pretty satisfied with the result.
As photographers, of course, we must practice a lot and do various challenges. That's why I challenged myself to shoot at night. Maybe later, I will do a photo shoot at night again because even though the results are pretty good, I will be more prepared before doing a photo shoot at night. And this last photo is the photo I like the most of all the photos I show.
