It has been quite a while since I last posted anything related to photography here. This is because recently I have been doing photo sessions frequently but haven't had the time to share about the photo sessions I have done. Additionally, this is also due to the demands of clients, which require me to complete them on time.
However, there are times when I get bored with all these activities, so I decided to take a break and make time to share about the photo sessions I have done with all of you here. The photo session I did this time was quite interesting because it was a request from a mother who wanted her child to be photographed like a model. The child's name is Gaby.
Before the photo session started, we had a discussion about the reference photos and the outfits to be worn. The concept of the photos was actually very simple, and Gaby wanted the photos to be simple like Korean artists. Coincidentally, Gaby likes one of the Korean artists as her favorite, so she wanted the photos to have a bright yet simple look.
The photo session went quite quickly. I spent about 1.5 hours for three different outfit variations that she wanted. However, the biggest challenge was that Gaby had never done a photo session before, so in the first few minutes, her mood was not there yet, and it made it difficult for me to find the right angle for Gaby to look beautiful on camera. Although her mother said that Gaby loves photography, she was quite difficult to pose in front of the camera.
It took about 30 minutes before Gaby finally felt comfortable posing in front of the camera. Gaby is around 15 years old and has just graduated from junior high school. Usually, children of her age are quite flexible in posing in front of the camera because of the advanced technology nowadays, and they usually enjoy taking selfies with their smartphones. However, Gaby rarely takes selfies. In my opinion, it's because she lacks self-confidence. So, it is my duty as a photographer to convince her that every woman is beautiful and that the most important thing is to believe in oneself.
Towards the end of the photo session, Gaby became more enthusiastic about trying various poses. Although she wasn't very confident in wearing somewhat revealing clothes for her age, her parents actually encouraged her, saying that it's okay to look sexy. I couldn't help but laugh because it was the first time I found parents who supported their child in a photo session activity.
Here are the results of the photo sessions:
These photos are the best ones I have to offer because Gaby looked the most enthusiastic and started to feel comfortable during the session wearing these outfits. This further fueled my enthusiasm to produce the best photos for Gaby. I hope you all like them too.
Warm regards from me.
