While we drove from Geneva, Switzerland to French Alps, we decided to make a stop and have a short walk next to a lake in France called Annecy. Located in the Eastern part of France, it sits right on the border where the Alps begin. That means there are some gorgeous views to be seen around the lake.
Now I got to use my camera properly not taking some bad shots from a car window while we were driving.
Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and mountain tops were inside the clouds so we didn't get a 100% view but it was enough. Oh, I missed being surrounded by mountains.
The path that led us to the lake.
On the other side of the lake where we also drove through is Annecy city. This is basically where the Alps end and no big mountains from this point forward.
I was more fascinated by the mountainous side.
Some trees in France were already quite green, it was great to see it. Although most still were not.
There were some trees that have tree trunks full of leaves. It was a sight we don't see here in Estonia. I don't know if this is a separate plant that climbs on the tree trunks or do the trees really have leaves growing on the trunk. Maybe you know the answer to this. Photo below.
Some beautiful colorful trees.
We started to make our way back to the car from another route. The sun came out and it truly felt like spring. OMG, it was so pleasant. 17 degrees C outside and we took off our jackets, being with T-shirts only. I can't wait when the spring arrives in Estonia already.
We were joking that we came for mountain skiing but maybe let's not leave this place and enjoy the warmness down here 😅.
Found some cows in the field.
The sky cleared up a bit and some gorgeous mountain views appeared. The alps are amazing!
I only have a couple of more locations from France, where I took pictures with my mirrorless. Bringing these to you soon!
