February should still be a month of winter wonderland but we have no winter left here in Estonia. It's the last day of the month and I decided to go and play some disc golf for the first time this year. While throwing discs, I got distracted. Distracted by the fog around me.
I didn't have my camera with me unfortunately but I started to take some photos with my phone inside the forested area.
These are taken in a place called Laulasmaa in northern Estonia. It is a beautiful location with sandy beaches and the sea. Halfway through my disc golf round, I decided to go to the beach and see what I could see.
The weather was also very quiet. Almost no wind and very minimal wave action. This combined with the thick fog around me, created quite a mystical feeling scenario.
On the photo below, there should be a sea back there but you can't see anything.
I had some time and daylight left so I decided to start walking along the shoreline, on this mystical beach.
These two shots of the small stones are taken with a phone's macro photo camera.
I ended up spending about 30 minutes walking along the beachline and I loved it. This eerie feeling of silence, clear air, and peacefulness was an absolute joy to have. At this point, I was getting short on daylight and I still wanted to finish my disc golf round so I had to turn back.
Here are some more shots I took on the way.
I found a lot of uprooted trees like this. The recent storms had eroded this beach a lot and carved out even some big trees that I don't have photos of here, unfortunately.
Happy start of the spring season!
