Green Mountain Falls is a town in Colorado where we spent pretty much the last night on our road trip in this state before we drove back to Denver. It's located about 15 km to the west of Colorado Springs in the mountains.
It's such a charming little town surrounded by amazing scenery. There is also a pond in the middle of the town with an island in the middle of this pond. In the morning after waking up we got some food to go and went outside next to this pond to eat and of course, get some photos of the place.
The weather was also really nice and sunny.
It looks like some people are using this little bridge as a fishing spot. I have no idea what fish is there to be found or what to catch. Should have asked...
You can see mountains all around this town. Originally we had some idea to go on a trail and make a short hike but getting food and morning activities overall took a lot more time than we intended so we had to skip that idea unfortunately.
There is also a cool place to eat and chill out in the evening called Blue Moose Tavern. We went there the previous night. Played some pool and listened to some guys do country songs karaoke lol. I don't have a photo of the tavern but you can see it a bit in the photo below. The white building is on the right side.
It was a beautiful place to spend the night. I like these small-town vibes. We stayed in the Lakeside Cottages. Small houses on the hillside that are really cozy. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of these. Damn, I wish I did, stupid me!
