Previously you have seen many shots from my ski trip to Åre Ski resort from the mountain that were taken with a phone. Now it's time for some shots that I have finally exported from the camera. I only used my DSLR when I was not on the mountain so I have pictures taken with it in the ski village of Åre.
Åre is almost fully a ski village because most of the houses in the area are rentals for people who come to the region. Prices are generally quite expensive. If I remember correctly, we paid 1300Eur for 4 nights in the house. The closer your accommodation to the ski lift or higher they are on the mountain, the more expensive they get.

The following photos are all taken by my friend who went wandering around the village with my camera. Unfortunately, he injured his knee on the second day on the mountain and had to skip another 2 days while we went skiing. What a shame.
Our condolences to my friend because the final 2 days were beautiful and sunny when we were able to get to the top of the mountain. At least I got some pictures that he took. I wouldn't have time to spend my day walking around this village.
We were staying in one of the houses you can see in the photo below.
Overall it's a cool little town that looks exactly like a generic Scandinavian settlement.
