Borgarfjörður Eystri is Iceland's remote northeastern fishing village that has only around 100 people living in total. Yesterday I did a post where I took on a mountain hike nearby to this village. When the hike was done we came back to this village and had a walk around the area to see what there is to see.
I just took random shots of places and landscapes nearby, it's really beautiful there.
This is right next to the sea, a rocky coastline.
Here you can see basically everything, this is how large the Borgarfjörður Eystri is.
View straight over the sea. This is where I started a mountain hike in the previous post.
Saw some strangely shaped cloud overhead.
Original Icelandic housing.
Local church.
Near our campsite was a small hill. Of course, we decided to conquer it.
I really liked being in this area. The hike in a previous post and the Village area here is something else. Almost no tourists what I like the most and absolutely beautiful nature all around. Definitely give it a visit when traveling in Iceland. It's off the beaten path but if you have time then go for it.
