Driving towards Aspen, Colorado from the west on this scenic Highway 82 was one of a kind experience. We drove from 12k feet altitude to 8k where Aspen is situated. Eight thousand feet is still pretty high in altitude really, it's about 2.5km above sea level. Before we arrived in Aspen I still managed to get some good view shots on this beautiful mountain road. The sun also decided to show itself a bit and made the lighting different for once.
Next to the road, you can also find some big rock cliffs that are cool to look at. We made a quick stop there.
I am also in the photo here lol. I'm wearing a Jacket because the temperature at this altitude, about 10k feet is pretty low, even though its summer.
Overall Highway 82 in Colorado was for sure one of the coolest roads I have driven on. Nature around is amazing and it's interesting to drive it. Might be a bit scary in places for some but I strongly recommend driving it if you travel there!
