When we arrived at the small island named Porto Santo, the first location that we went to see after renting a quad bike was Ana Ferreira Peak. By the way, renting a quad bike was such a great decision. The weather is warm and the island is so small that having a car really is an overkill.
As I said the first location we drove to was Anda Ferreira Peak also named as The Organ Pipes. It's not a first time to see sight for me. In Iceland which I have visited numerous times I have seen these kinds of formations in many places. Porto Santo is also of volcanic origin and these formations form when lava touches water.
Panorama of the whole place. It's quite large I had to make 3 horizontal frames to make it fit.
Otherwise, the views are also pretty nice in this place. You can pretty much see all over the island when you are on just a bit higher elevation.
One side of the island...
another side of the island...
Even though the Porto Santo island is tiny, there is quite a bit to see, and I'm excited to show you all about it in the coming posts. No one from Hive has blogged about this place as far as I know.
As always stay tuned!
