Visiting Kotor in summer might not be ideal due to the overwhelming influx of tourists, unless you arrive early in the morning like we did at the end of July.
The ancient Mediterranean port town of Kotor nestles within fortifications constructed during the Venetian era. Situated on the Bay of Kotor, also known as Boka Kotorska, it marks one of the deepest inlets of the Adriatic Sea and if often referred to as Europe's southernmost fjord. Flanked by towering limestone cliffs, the Kotor area creates a breathtaking scenic landscape.
