Hey everybody,
It's been a while since i post here, i needed a some time offline! And because of the
C-restrictions where lifted the meetings and fun stuff outside is happening again! I had a couple of Instagram meetings in some epic locations that i want to share here in the future, and I have been traveling a little bit. I spend two weeks in France, the Normandy region and a couple of days in Germany and the Belgium nature reserve the Eiffel! I met some one who currently is walking the Jordan trail in Jordan, if everything is going well, i will join here in the city of Petra the end of April and i will walk a couple of stages with here trough out the dessert!
I will keep you posted on that! But for now, April fools day! The weather media in the Netherlands predicted snow. And it was going to be a lot! That's very late in the season and many people thought it would be an April fools joke! The 31 first of march when i opened the curtains it was a little bit white, but the temperature was a little above freezing so the snow went in to rain and it disappeared very quickly! That evening it started to snow a little bit and i went to bed early!
The next morning, April first, everything was complete white! I rushed out of bed and within 10 minutes i had packed my bag and was on my bike on the road!
The first picture is of our community center in the neighborhood where I live! Here is the doters office located and the pharmacy and various therapies have office here! Also there is a coffee corner and two stories of apartments on top of it all! I shot a panorama of 5 vertical pictures and stitched them together! It's to bad that taxicab just drove in! maybe i will Photoshop it away sometime!
The street to the castle!
This is a gate to the castle garden! off course there is a bike there, this is the Netherlands!
This is Castle Kerckebosch! It's not very old, it's build in 1911! They used a big collection of antiques and ornaments to build it and those all came from restored churches, monasteries and castles in the immediate area! The families who build it, managed to buy a lot of special old materials with local antique dealers. For example, two old doors from a cathedral from the city of Utrecht from the 18th century and a fireplace from the 17th century of a canal house in Amsterdam!
There are many stained glass windows and shutters from old houses and castles in here. maybe i will photograph them from the inside sometime. Than you see them way better.
The castle is used as a very fancy restaurant and hotel, you can also have weddings and conventions there!
I didn't spent a long time here because there where so many places i want to visit before the snow was melted! And day's like this in the Netherlands, mostly in the afternoon the snow is completely gone! This is just the first part of the shoot. I took to many pictures the past weeks and now i am struggling to get it all edited! Luckily the weather is very bad now! it's raining all day long! And it will keep raining this whole week. So stay tuned, there will be many pictures and blog post to come the next view weeks, i hope :p
And please tell me what you think of the pictures! i can use some critics if you have. That way i will learn more!
Thank you all!
