The first picture that I took with my new camera was in the town of Salamanca Spain! I had never heard of this town but I am a big fan of the series Breaking Bad, and when I saw this town on the map, I really needed to go here! It has literally noting to do with the series but only the name is from the series, if you didn't know that! Go watch it, it's awesome!
I was on my way down from the North of Spain towards Malaga! A total drive of about 1100 kilometers!
That is way to far for me in one trip! So the town of Salamanca was a nice stop over! There was a parking spot at the edge of the town where it is legal to stay overnight in your camper van!
It was just a view bike minutes of the towns city center!
So I hoped on my bike and drove off! I stopped at the first street of the old town that I saw and this are the pictures of that first location! Just one crossing! I took the pictures not more than 10 steps from each other!
This town is an ancient university town located in the western part of Spain in the Autonomous Community of Castilla and León! Its was probably founded around 400 years B.C. by the Carthaginians people! I think that's just amazing so old!
After the whole of Spain was conquered by the Romans, about 200 years B.C. the city became an important part of the silver route from the Asturias region in the northern part of Spain to the south!
One of the oldest university city's of Spain is located here! And the third oldest Uni of Europe!
The city's historic center has got so many important Romanesque, Gothic, Moorish, Renaissance, and Baroque monuments. But for now, I am focusing on the cathedral!
I love those little streets around the Catedral! They work as a frame for the church in the back!
I said one cathedral, but there are two of them in Salamanca! The old one, build in the 12th century and the new one that they started building in the year 1515! The new one is build with his wall against the old construction! I thought it was just one cathedral but writing this teaches me something else! I arrived in Salamanca in the beginning of the evening! There for the cathedrals were already closed for public! And I wasn't going to stay there very long because I was traveling to the south so I just wanted to walk around the city! but next time I will stay here longer, there is a lot to see here!
I like pictures like this! Just one person in front of the building! Gives a nice perspective of the size of the building! To bad for the car and the other person! But so cool that Photoshop now has got AI!
It's so incredible easy, and for things like this I think I don't mined it at all!
Now she only needs to be standing in the middle! I love Photoshop!
