Yesterday we had a beautiful day in northern Norway, almost clear sky coloured by sun beneath the horizon. Even short days form November to February the little light there is can be great. When live here north you have to get out during the hours there is some light.
The goal was a valley called Tøttadalen around 700 meters above the sea level, and around 5 km up to a lake called Forsnesvannet.
The first stop and an obligatory photo session is with the lake Pumpvannet. The sky is coloured by the sun towards the east, the clock is almost 12:00 and the light is on the brightest, and yet not full daylight.
From Pumpvannet the trail go further up above the treeline.
The trail goes uphill and a stop to take a look and some photos of the landscape and Tøttatoppen is a good excuse for a rest.
Nero was lucky to find a stick to chew on. Of course I had to take a picture with the fjord and the nice coloured sky in the background.
At an altitude around 600 meters the terrain flattens out and we can see the valley.
A look backward.
The lake Forsnesvannet to the left and soon....
..a cup hot coffee and some cookies made for Christmas.
View from behind the coffeecup. The trail go back over the hills in the background.
An easy walk downhill with ice spikes on the boots.
Back at Pumpvannet. The clock 14:20 in the afternoon and time to get the headlight on.
The last leg down to the car go through a steep forest. Nice with headlight to prevent accidents.
Have a shiny evening.
