A dead tree, not uncommon in this part of the world. This part of the world being Tasmania in Australia, and in particular this is the shoreline in Howden just south of Hobart.
Shown here as close as possible we can see the grain in the wood, the marks, the rings of time, the belched nature, even here so close to water it's drying, changing.
You see wood changes even after it's dead, which I just is a little like people as our memories of them change
