Welcome to The 24th edition of the series - Scenes from a bike
This Edition facts:
Location: A short ride up Queensberry Street from my house and I'm at Carlton Gardens in Melbourne, home to the Melbourne Museum and the Royal Exhibition Buildings.
Date & Weather: Sunday the 20th of August - It sunny for late winter, it's not warm, but it's also not cold, there are low winter shadows and warm light.
Equipment: My Fujifilm X-T5, mated with a 16-80mm Zoom. I'm testing some set-up for a upcoming holiday, I also have a X-T3 with a 10-24mm on me set to black and white but that's for a whole other post.
The Concept & Finances: The concept is simple, I've bought an electric bike, on this bike I explore my hometown, Melbourne Australia and take photos, Priority 1 - Finding new places in Melbourne, Priority 2 - taking better photos, Bonus - Earn back the cost of the bike by creating content and getting paid for it on HIVE. The bike cost $1,100 USD. So far I've earned $144.85 from the previous 24 paid out posts meaning I've paid for just over 13% of the bike and I have $955 to go. This is going to take some time, but this is all bonus money, the joy is in the taking of photos.
Other stuff: Nothing really, except to say these gardens are a mix of modern architecture with the museum, The world heritage listed exhibition building and lots of open space, with Australians doing what Australian's do - gathering. As always though with Australian gardens, not enough places to sit.
