There are photos which just sit in a folder which is still called 'Steemit' they are photos which I've taken that I think I will do something with, looking for a like minded photo to put together with it and form a theme, and statement on something, but some of them just sit there gathering digital dust waiting for there time in the sun.
This shot was taken on the 30th of July 2022, it has been sitting there ever since. I've posted maybe 250 times since then and it's never made the grade. I know what I was going for, I'd seen some photos of bare shadows of trees on walls and I thought this tree, and this wall down in Docklands in Melbourne, Australia could be that, but it never really nailed it for me. I shall keep trying though.
This is newer - December 2023, less Digital dust, it's file name is Telix Tilt Shift. I'd been teaching myself to do tilt shifts in post production. Tilt Shift removes the distortion you get when you are photographing buildings from the ground, it basically straightens the lines and makes it like you are floating in air sort of. This type of mid century building is perfect for it, so many lines to see. Also this is the global headquarters of Telix, if you a Australian a looking for the next 'CSL' style share this would be my pick (keeping in mind I'm not a financial advisor, so you know better to listen to Scottie No Shoes or something), If you prostate cancer, you should also be thanking these guys and they are developing procedures to find it early and treat it and type you alive - Yay them.
