In Noto, in Southern Sicily it seemed to be washing day when we were there, people looking to use the baking sun to quickly dry their stuff, whether it be a weeks worth of aprons at the butcher shop and your t-shirt from your favourite TV show or the colour riot which is a little kids outfits for the week, or maybe just a couple of days.
