Look, there are many animals and birds in this world but the peacock's voice and colors are the most unique. I am saying this because my ancestral home is situated in the Aravalli Mountain Range, hence wild animals and birds are found in abundance here. My favorite peacock among all, who wakes up and sleeps with me every day since childhood.
I want to tell you a story about peacock, when I was 11 years old, I used to keep chickens and at the same time I used to take goats to graze in Aravali. While feeding the goats, I found a peacock egg which I kept under my hen. I had no idea at all what would happen. After a few days, a miracle happened and the hen incubated the peacock's egg for several days and gave birth to a tiny peacock.
My family members were also very surprised to see this incident. That peacock became my life. I started spending all my time with her before and after school. Within a few days, he became bigger than a hen and as his wings grew, he learned to fly a little. Now I have also stopped keeping him in the cage. The peacock would sit on the tree all night and in the morning would feed on grains with its mother hen. It was a very relaxing feeling to see his family picking grains.
One day he grew so big that he started flying on the roof and that day I understood that it was time for him to go. That peacock which was not named, nor do I have any photo of it... One day he joined a group of other peacocks and went to the forest. After which now whenever I see any peacock, I remember him and I try to find my peacock in every peacock.
It was a very good time and since then peacock became my favorite. Even today I see peacocks from the terrace of my house and I love clicking their photos. In summer, I sleep on the terrace and you will not believe that every morning the peacock wakes me up with its melodious voice. This is my small story, I hope you liked this peacock love.
