As I wrote in my previous posts, my Schneider Super Cinelux 70mm f/2.0 has a special Focusing Modification. Cinelux itself - it is just a small gold-plated Projector Lens that doesn't have any mounts for focusing helicoid. My lens has a floating helicoid ring mounted without any screws on the lens tube. You can see it on the photo below.
I thought about it as a dirty "duct tape" solution. But recently I realized how cool this solution is!
Did you use Macro-rings for your lens?
I can move this ring on the lens back and forth to precisely change the "working distance". It is the distance between rear glass and sensor of the cam.
On the photo above helicoid mount in normal position. It gives me the ability to focus on the distances from 30cm to Infinity. If I move this ring closer to the rear glass, then I will convert the Cinelux into the Macro lens. This construction becomes very universal.
Just take a look at the following photos 👇 Macro, Mid-range, and landscape - it can shoot do any scene that fits into the field of view of 70mm lens.
