Being out there is not my thing, I'm more of an indoor person but going for adventure feeds my soul. It's just nice that while hubby comes and goes some days, he spares some time for us to explore other places.
This selection of photos was from the various road trips that we had last year and in the first two months of 2024. Most were captured while the car was running so the shots aren't the best, more so that I'm not good at photography and I'm also not using a professional camera (just my phone, lol).
Anyhow, apart from mountains and hills, fields and plains fascinate me, especially when they have greens or water in them. Truly a farmgirl, huh?
These are rice paddies somewhere in Cervantes Ilocos Sur during an impromptu drive on Christmas day. We were headed to the Monument at that time. Here's another capture along the same road, the photo was initially shared here in January.

The same spot but a different angle, photographed in December 2022. We were attending a family occasion during that time.
These succeeding photos are also in the same region in the lowlands but in different towns, and taken during a family trip. The first one was in Sta. Lucia after we exited the E. Moreno Resort. I don't have any explanation but I'm just easily drawn by open fields and similar landscapes.
These three were on the 31st of December while we were traversing the roads of Tagudin and other towns in the Ilocos.
This was at 6:56 in the morning and no sign of the sun yet. Still very early.
The husband drives fast but I'm glad that this accidental shot turned out okay. The sun rays peeking through the thick branches of the trees. It was 7:34 in the morning.
This on the other hand was in a town called Santa. The sea was calm when we passed by.
Meanwhile, these are farms in the Mountain Province, captured on our February drive. After the afternoon at the Holy Family Church, we headed to random locations. Unplanned trips are the best because although sometimes we feel lost, we discover places that we never thought we'd sep foot on when we sit down and plan to the details.
Of course, a day out wouldn't be complete without sweet treats. Enjoyed this along the way. Double chocolate vanilla for me and Ube & Cream (maybe) for the husband.
There was a forest fire on that day, hence the smoke coming behind the trees. It was a big and it started at the base of the mountain. It's such a shame that someone would even think about burning the place down. It was 5 in the afternoon so we just drove past the area because we had a long way to go back home.
And that's just it for today. I do have more photos of fields and mountains but they will be for another day. Currently at the hospital and I'm struggling with internet access :(
Thanks for coming along and have a wonderful day.
