I got it! My new toy for my Canon EOS M50. It's the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Canon EF-M. In fact, he surprised me greatly.

Je l'ai reçu! Mon nouveau jouet pour mon Canon EOS M50. Il s'agit de l'objectif Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens pour Canon EF-M. A vrai dire, il m'a mis une bonne petite claque.

More than a year ago now I decided to replace my good old Canon EOS 60D in anticipation of my new trip to Japan. I wanted to stay at Canon and I wanted something that would make me both beautiful photography and beautiful videos. My choice was the affordable mirrorless camera Canon EOS M50 (550 USD) even if it was much criticized at its beginning and I have absolutely no regrets!

Il y a plus de 1 an maintenant j'ai décidé de remplacer mon bon vieux Canon EOS 60D en prévision de mon nouveau voyage au Japon. Je voulais rester chez Canon et je voulais quelque chose qui me fasse à la fois de belles photos et de belles vidéos. Mon choix c'est porté sur l'appareil mirrorless Canon EOS M50 qui a un prix abordable (470 EURO) même si beaucoup décrié à ses débuts et ne le regrette absolument pas!

To be able to use my two favorite lenses, a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and a Yongnuo YN 35mm f/2 (which I recommend even if its autofocus is noisy) instead of the basic package, I also bought the Viltrox EF-EOS M2 Lens AF 0.71x Speed Booster reducing the basic crop (1.6x) of the Canon EOS M50 and allowing to mount EF and EF-S lenses. To complete the package I also bought a 67mm Hoya polarizing Filter CPL CIR-PL HD 67 mm.

Pour pouvoir utiliser mes deux objectifs chouchou, un Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM et un Yongnuo YN 35mm f/2 (que d'ailleurs je recommande même si son autofocus est bruyant) au lieu de celui du pack de base j'avais aussi fait l'acquisition du Viltrox EF-EOS M2 Lens AF 0.71x Speed Booster réduisant le crop de base (1.6x) du Canon EOS M50 et permettant de monter des objectif à monture EF et EF-S. De plus pour compléter le tout j'ai aussi acheté un filtre polarisant Hoya Filter CPL CIR-PL HD 67 mm.

the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Canon EF-M doesn't need an adapter ring as its connector is already in EF-M format (also available in MFT and Sony E format), there is also a 30mm and a 56mm version available. I paid 400 USD for mine

l'objectif Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens pour Canon EF-M n'a pas besoin de bague d'adaptation car sa connectique est déjà au format EF-M (disponible aussi au format MFT et Sony E), il y a aussi une version 30mm et de 56mm disponible. J'ai payé 340 EURO pour le mien

Its autofocus is extremely quiet (a huge plus for the video part) and ultra fast (thanks to Canon's Dual Pixel). Now that Canon has released its EOS Webcam Utility to turn the Canon EOS M50 into a webcam, it doesn't leave me anymore. Whether to shoot photos, videos or for my skype calls, my live Twitch... 😊

Son autofocus est hyper silencieux (un gros plus pour la partie vidéo) et ultra rapide (merci le Dual Pixel de Canon). Maintenant que Canon a sortie son EOS Webcam Utility permettant de transformer le Canon EOS M50 en webcam il ne me quitte plus. Que ce soit pour faire des photos, des vidéos, mes appels skype, mes lives Twitch... 😊
