La Basílica de San Pedro Apóstol de la capital venezolana se encuentra ubicada en la Urbanización los Chaguaramos desde su planificación y posterior inauguración en el año 1959 buscaba ser una copia en proporciones menores de la Basílica de San Pedro de la Ciudad del Vaticano, a diferencia de esta la ubicada en Caracas está catalogada como Basílica Menor, este es un lugar que con el pasar del tiempo se ha convertido en un icono de la ciudad, ya que su arquitectura sobresale y marca la diferencia en la zona, además sus espacios han trascendido al culto religioso y le han dado paso a actividades artísticas y culturales que hacen de San Pedro un recinto para el encuentro de la comunidad y un altar importante en el proceso evangelizador de la ciudad.
Caracas es una ciudad que esconde miles de tesoros, sus calles y edificios están llenos de historia, anécdotas y curiosidades, espero poco a poco ir mostrándoles las bellezas de esta ciudad que se encuentra viva, en constante cambio y en pie de lucha ante las dificultades que día a día se presentan, esta es una ciudad que desde hace tiempo se encuentra constantemente en el ojo de la comunidad internacional y desde donde a cada momento salen noticias e informaciones que no siempre se relacionan con sus bondades, sino que tienen una connotación económica o política, es por ello que acá en cada publicación que les presente podrán conocer el lado humano, artístico, cultural y arquitectónico de esta gran y hermosa urbe.
