Hi friends!
It's been 5 months since I left Da Nang, and I'm still missing the city's beach. My university has announced that we may be able to return to Da Nang next month. I'm hoping things will settle down soon because I can't wait to travel back to Da Nang. So now is the time to look back at some beach photos I took prior to the outbreak. All of these photos were taken at Lien Chieu beach during golden hour, and some were taken using a phone.
In this post, I will show you my ways to take these shots too.
My phone was used to take these two photos. Because our phones have such a wide lens length, I prefer to shoot from low angles to add drama. You can see how I got water all over my phone by shooting the bubble so close. I was fortunate in that my phone did not die, and I also had a good shot too. This shot, in my opinion, proves what many photographers have said: "Gear doesn't matter."
These shots are normal wide shots. I think I shoot these in 24 mm. I was lucky that the sky color was so beautiful, it had a purple vibe, really vibrant. You can see it was raining in the picture, maybe because of that so the sky had such an amazing color.
This post's highlights are these two images. I employ a method known as "Panning." I used a 1/30 shutter speed, panned, and followed the waves on their path. It took about 20 burst photos for me to get this result. This method gives the images more drama, movement, and life than a freeze moment shot.
This is my entry to SEAPHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST. Thanks to for organizing this fantastic contest where we can show off our work and tell the tales behind it.
