Our German photographer friend, Hans, was looking for models he can do photoshoots with for his e-bikes. Although it was not a paid modeling gig, the perks were the models can drive an e-bike around Mactan and have free meals.
at the Mactan Newtown
Jo and I volunteered to be models. It was through an exchange of comments on Hans' announcement that the two of us knew how to drive a motorbike. Anyway, Hans, Jo, and I met through volunteer work in Cebu under a non-profit organization.
We have to go to Lapu-Lapu City on Mactan Island to meet Hans. From my hometown, I needed to see Jo so that I can hitch on his motorbike.
We met Hans near the airport of Mactan and we went to his house to take the e-bikes. The e-bikes look like mopeds. E-bikes are electric bikes. You need to charge them overnight.
So, we got three models of the e-bikes as you can see on the photos. The colors were black, red, and purple.
At first, it was really awkward because we don't know how to be a model. So, we were just pretending and laughing about our awkward pose.
It was funny, we were just having fun. Our first destination to take a photo was at the Mactan Newtown. It was really cool to drive an e-bike without a helmet on. After that, we decided to drive around and checking out new places.
at Cebu Helium Balloon
While driving around, we found this I love Cebu Balloon and the name of this company is Cebu Helium Balloon. We never tried this but it was cool to stop over here and take some photos.
We were just having a conversation about what pose we should do. Since we were not prepared of doing any posing, Hans just took some candid photos of us.
And then, ok we need to pretend.
I asked Jo if he brought some cookies or chips with him so that I could pretend I was feeding him. Hahaha!
Our common friends found our photos very hilarious. Hahaha! Coz we acted like a couple. LOL
Then, Hans took some solo shots of me.
Using a motorbike helmet of Jo as one of the props.
We ended our day by having some afternoon snacks consisting of mango shakes, cakes, and hamburgers. It was a great experience driving an e-bike and a funny memory we pretended like models.
Later on, we proceeded with our hobbies in photography. As a photographer, I need how to pose in front of the camera as I also needed to direct my models on how to pose.
