Salutations digital friends,
I hope reality is treating you well today.
The day was like any other over here untill. I woke up from life or what felt like it. I woke up with the sunlight shining through my window. It was a beautiful afternoon light. I got up on my feet and pulled the curtains. I still feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, but the light is weakening. That's when I know that darkness is coming and that it's time for me to leave.
The day got underway as most do. At 5:00 AM, @Kooza puts his paws on the side of my bed telling me to wake up to take him out.
This is followed with checking in on different crypto trades that are underway, writing my article for the day, writing my other article for the day, exercise, more exercise, staring blankly out the window for little bit at Lady Buddha across the bay. The big goal for today was to try to find more food as my supplies were getting low and we're not allowed to go to the store.
From understand Vietnam has a nested pyramid leadership structure.
National leaders > Province leaders > City leaders > Borough leaders > Block leaders. Or something to that affect. Ordering food we have to put an order in with our block leader, then works with the local police at the borough level, to submit the orders to get process. Needless to say, having an infrastructure to deliver food to a population thats homebound is a feat of civil engineering that a lot of communities would struggle with.
I also got a message my inbox that I have to report at 1700 for Covid testing again. On one hand it be nice to get a robust walk in without having to worry about police pulling over, on the other side, kind of like a block party with people tossed into a blender... So who knows...
Well anyways I donned my ninja attire, put on a fancy vest and hit the mean streets at 16:30 to get my nose swapped. here I am looking like an angry duck.
even though I was 30 minutes early for the testing, there was already a medley of predominantly ex-pats, mulling around outside, awaiting the gates to open and be welcomed into the amusement park-and-ride of covid testing.
at least when I got there there was no formal structure, it was just everybody standing around, looking like they were obeying the social distancing guidelines.
After little bit the gates opened up and we all floated into the school lot. it was a bit chaotic but there were rows of chairs rustic sit on much like last time, and the blue Smurf people came about to hand out forms, and nose swabs.
this poor lady in pink in front of me, sat in this red chair she fell over the back legs crumpled. What a way to start your Covid testing day... Geez... I mean you have enough stuff going on right?
At about 17:10, the full parking lot started to fill with people. It was at this point I was grateful that I decide to come early. Outside the gate even more people started to gather. One of my friends didn't get back until after dark the testing as a lot of people piled in. Sometimes it pays to be a little bit early.
Here's another photo looking back at the crowd of people that were gathered.
I took this photo of a worker standing in the corner, to me and had a very zombie outbreak feeling, muted walls, dark trees, blue jumpsuit.
I did try to take another selfie while getting swabbed, but one of the policeman told me no cameras. Getting a selfie well-being swabs not high on my list of reasons to cause a civil disobedience uprising, so I begrudgingly complied.
I did get to go home after this on the way back ran into a few friends, and met a new friend. So while the blending pots of potential Coivd mixing was a darkness on the day, meeting new people and having an adventure outside was a shimmering light.
I also stop by not a market, but the front of a house that was selling extra produce ( a bit marked up). I got my leafy greens once again, and then later on at night at about 9:30 PM, the police delivered most of what I ordered in the order.
All said and done it was a noteworthy day, and I got a few pictures to share with you my friends.
I hope you enjoyed the photos today and if you have a questions please ask them down below and comments, I hope to see you back here tomorrow again for more stories and adventures in life.
Much love~
