Portraits, smiles and fun

Hello !

Today I bring you the portraits of this little three year old girl. I took these photos in a studio that is not where I usually work but a good friend photographer and hiver Hive account@randybpics told me about an opportunity to take photos in another place and of course I took the opportunity.

I said yes to this session for several reasons, besides the fact that it was a profit on a day when I had no other task planned, I thought it was a great experience to face the challenge of working in a studio where I had never been before. Getting to know other ways of working is a good way to learn as well.

At first the session would be in two days and I would go to the next one just to get to know the place, check all the sets and lights, in short.... However, things do not always happen as planned, so the day before another friend, Hive account@alianlens who also works in that studio as a photographer and who would be my Virgilio or my Beatriz hahaha (and then we would see which one 😂) told me that the session had been brought forward so I would only have a while in the morning to know the details of the place,etc..

I arrived at the place and waited for the studio to open and Randy, who was on his way to his own, saw me in the distance and came over to chat for a while, keeping me company.

Then Alian arrived and we entered the studio, there he explained me some questions related to the workflow of the place, technical aspects of the available lights, and so on until he began his work in which I could assist him during the whole time. Then he stayed with me too, which also helped me to feel more confident.

In the afternoon, the little girl I was to work with arrived and entered full of energy. Very friendly and smiley, so I suspected that she was going to make it very easy for me. I wasn't wrong for a second. We had great communication from the start and I loved working with her.

I liked to give her something she could play with while I was doing my work, and that way everything would be much more natural, in the photos she is barely posing in a directed way, in most of them conversations were generated between us so that she would give me the pose for the photo I had in mind.
That's how she started drawing and showing me what she was creating on paper.

We played a little bit all the time and I have to admit that I also had fun as a little girl, watching her doing her funny things and conversing like a person with a big vocabulary.

Hola !

Hoy les traigo los retratos hechos a una pequeñita de tres años. Estas fotos las realicé en un estudio que no es en el que suelo trabajar habitualmente pero un buen amigo fotógrafo y hiver Hive account@randybpics me comentó de una oportunidad de hacer fotos allí y por supuesto que la aproveché.

Dije que sí a esta sesión por varios motivos, además de que suponía una ganancia en un día en el que no tenía otra tarea planificada, me pareció una gran experiencia enfrentar el reto de trabajar en un estudio en el que nunca antes había estado. Conocer otros modos de trabajo es una buena manera de aprender también.

En un principio la sesión seria en dos días y yo iría al siguiente solo para conocer el lugar, revisar todo el tema de los sets y las luces, en fin... sin embargo, las cosas no siempre suceden como se planifican.
Así que el día antes otro amigo, Hive account@alianlens que también trabaja allí como fotógrafo y que haría de mi Virgilio o mi Beatriz jajaja ( ya luego se vería cual de ellos 😂) me avisó que la sesión se había adelantado así que solamente tendría un rato en la mañana para conocer los detalles del lugar, etc.

Llegué al lugar y esperé a que abriera el estudio; y Randy que iba camino al suyo, me vió a lo lejos y se acercó a conversar un rato, haciéndome compañía.

Ya luego llegó Alian y entramos, allí él me explicó algunas cuestiones relacionadas con el flujo de trabajo del lugar, aspectos técnicos de las luces disponibles, hasta que comenzó su trabajo en el cual lo pude asistir durante todo el rato. Luego él se quedó conmigo también, lo que me ayudó a sentirme más segura.

Ya en la tarde llegó la pequeña con la que me tocaría trabajar a mi y entró al estudio llena de energía. Muy habladora y risueña, así que sospeché que me lo iba a poner muy sencillo. No me equivoqué ni por un segundo. Tuvimos muy buena comunicación desde el inicio y adoré trabajar con ella.

Me gustó darle algo con lo que ella pudiera jugar mientras yo hacia mi trabajo, y de esa forma todo seria mucho más natural, en las fotos apenas está posando de manera dirigida, en la mayoría de ellas se generaron conversaciones entre nosotras de forma que ella me brindara la pose para la foto que tenia en mente.
Así fue como se puso a dibujar y me mostraba lo que iba creando en el papel.

Jugamos un poco todo el rato y yo tengo que reconocer que me divertí también como niña chica, viéndola hacer sus travesuras y conversando como una persona con un gran vocabulario.
