Kevin Leroy visited the studio for a photo session. His mother desired a range of images to adorn mugs, keychains, and a large canvas print. Traditionally, young girls in our country celebrate their 15th birthday with a glamorous photoshoot featuring ball gowns and signature attire. However, few boys opt for this alternative.
When I talk to them, they almost always say ¨they're not for that, that's for girls¨, to which a very tired mother replies with a face of ¨that boy is impossible¨ while they roll their eyes.
Kevin's mother informs me that, after much negotiation between them, Kevin eventually consented to have his photos taken, albeit with a few conditions. There would be no need for suits or ties, his mother agreed, but he would have to wear a shirt at least. Another condition was that he would choose the picture in the living room, since his friends visited his house and he didn't want to be embarrassed. Mom agreed because she thought it was fair and because moms are the best 😉.
It was also noted that the photo on the mug and keychain belonged to her. He agreed, stating, "In the end, she'll be the one drinking from that cup. I can't walk around with my face on the glass."
Finally and as a culmination of a negotiation worthy of the UN, Kevin told his mom that since he was going to make the sacrifice of the photos 😆, she should put a new battery in his cell phone that had broken 🤣.
And that's how Kevin Leroy and his mom got their pictures.

Kevin Leroy es un chico que fue a tomarse unas fotos al estudio. Su mamá, quería unas fotos suyas, para tener en varios objetos como tazas, llaveros y una lienzografía tamaño considerable. En nuestro país, las niñas que arriban a sus 15 años suelen hacerse fotos con grandes trajes de princesa y gala, además de vestuarios propios, pero... son pocos los varones que optan por esta opción.
Cuando converso con ellos, casi siempre dicen que ¨no están pa´ eso, que es cosa de niñas¨ A lo que una muy cansada mamá responde con cara de ¨este niño es imposible¨ mientras ponen los ojos en blanco. Yo me rio bastante con este tipo de escenas, porque suelen ser muy comunes aunque por supuesto cada quien cree que solo les pasa a ellos.
Kevin, nos cuenta su mamá, después de mucha negociación entre ellos, finalmente accedió a hacerse fotos, con varias condiciones jajajaja. No debía de haber trajes ni corbatas, a lo que su mamá le dijo que si, pero que al menos tenia que usar una camisa, él le dijo que si, pero él mismo escogía la camisa.
Otra condición era, que la foto que iba en la sala de la casa la escogía él, pues sus amiguitos visitan su casa y no quería pasar vergüenza. Mamá accedió porque lo consideró justo y porque las mamás son las mejores.
Ella entonces sumó que la de la taza y el llavero las escogía ella. El estuvo de acuerdo porque, ¨al final en esa taza va a tomar ella, ni loco yo voy a andar por ahí con la cara mía pegada en el vaso¨ me comentó él luego.
Por último y como colofón de una negociación digna de la ONU, Kevin le dijo a su mamá que ya que el iba a hacer el sacrificio de las fotos 😆, ella que le pusiera una batería nueva a su celular que se había roto 🤣.
Y así es como Kevin Leroy y su mamá tienen sus fotos 😂.
