What's up, hivers! How's your Monday so far?
This blog is only the beginning of one of the locations I've been and will continue to be in my life. I'd like to show you how they've shaped me as a person and the people around me through the pictures I take using my own mobile phone.
I got lost the first time I stepped inside Cebu Business Park. It has a lot of streets that I'm not sure where they're going. Surrounded by buildings opposite to one another. The Ayala Center Cebu, which is a prominent retail mall in Cebu, was the only building I knew back then.
The Cebu Business Park is an integrated development and is the premier business district in Southern Philippines. It is the district in Cebu that integrates business, high-rise residential, shopping mall like Ayala Center Cebu, sports and other recreational facilities. You can read more about Cebu Business park HERE.
Not only that, but the proximity of its building structures causes me a headache and makes me feel unsafe. But, over time, I'm learning to appreciate and mesmerized by it.
I've spent half of my life here, working for a company that is located in this business park for the past three years and nine months. Over the years, I've developed a deep affection for these structures and its streets.
I've lived near the office for the past two years. I used to jog around the park whenever I had free time. My previous work schedule was always in the graveyard, and I was still hesitant to commute. Why would I commute when my office is only a 10- to 15-minute walk away? I can save 20 pesos a day by walking for 20 minutes each day. Also, this park is safe and I can say secured. Even though I go home at dawn, every post has one security guard and roaming marshals riding in a motorcycle. There is also police station nearby.
Now I'm working on one of the buildings I was previously only looking at. Even though I'm at the top of the building, I can't believe I'm still staring down. This is the building's little garden. Our office is located on the 16th floor. When my work is stressing me out, this is where I go to get some fresh air and sip my coffee before my shift starts.
I am quite proud and pleased that I have had the opportunity to work in the corporate world, which I did not anticipate because all I had hoped for before was to get a job that would support my family's needs, and this park provides many options to everyone. This park has assisted and continues to assist people in attaining their goals in a variety of ways. Because of what happened last December, when typhoon Odette nearly destroyed everything, including the oldest trees planted everywhere, I only hope that the park would allow a lot of trees to flourish. This is beneficial not only to business, but also to the environment and the people who live in the area.
