Hello dear #Hive friends!... Welcome to another edition of my street photography series... Those of you who frequent my work may know that I live in Montalbán, a small town in the north-central region of Venezuela and that a good part of my daily photographic work is born in the streets of this place... So let's go for these photos!

¡Hola queridos amigos de #Hive!... Bienvenidos a otra edición de mi serie de fotografía callejera... Aquellos que frecuentan mi trabajo quizás sepan que vivo en Montalbán, un pueblo pequeño en la región centro norte de Venezuela y que buena parte de mi trabajo fotográfico cotidiano nace en las calles de este lugar... ¡Así que vayamos por estas fotos!.

Taking pictures in what I call "A town lost in time and where the wind blows back" (Yes, I am quite dramatic sometimes with what I say, I admit it) is always like going out and wandering through an unpredictable scenario.... In fact, I can pass by a street and observe that nothing interesting happens, keep walking and pass by it again just a couple of hours later and miracle!.... There is a whole ideal scene for a photo happening then!... And you have to take into account that these are just a few streets crisscrossed, it is not a very big town!

Hacer fotos en esto que yo llamo "Un pueblo perdido en el tiempo y en donde el viento se devuelve" (Sí, soy bastante dramático a veces con lo que digo, lo admito) es siempre como salir y pasearse por un escenario impredecible... De hecho, puedo pasar por una calle y observar que nada interesante sucede, seguir caminando y volver a pasar por allí apenas un par de horas después y ¡milagro!... !Hay toda una escena ideal para una foto ocurriendo entonces!... ¡Y hay que tomar en cuenta que estas son unas pocas calles entrecruzadas, no es un pueblo demasiado grande!.

Doing street photography in places like this implies "getting close to everything", "becoming part of the photo" and -obviously- "thinking mixing the rural and the urban"... So then, every walk with a camera in hand becomes an exercise of visual acuity and thinking... It seems to me that something similar happens to all street photographers... .... Perhaps it is due to this "psychic pleasure" that this type of photography has so many followers.

Hacer fotografía callejera en lugares como este, implica "acercarse a todo", "volverse parte de la foto" y -obviamente- "pensar mezclando lo rural y lo urbano"... Así entonces, cada caminata con una cámara en la mano se convierte en un ejercicio de agudeza visual y de pensamiento... Me parece que algo similar le sucede a todos los fotógrafos callejeros.... Quizás se deba a ese "placer psíquico" el que este tipo de fotografía tenga muchos adeptos.
