These are photos that I would describe as somewhat "disruptive" from my daily walks through the streets of my town. I usually take pictures of street scenes, portraits of people, photos of animals, dogs, and things like that. But sometimes, amidst all of that, I let myself be seduced by the colors, shapes, and textures of more specific objects, and I end up taking a handful of photos like these, which I like to occasionally compile, process, and share with you here on #Hive as a kind of "break" from my more usual photographic themes... Please come on in and enjoy these dozens of photos of "other street things" that I've brought for you today...

Estas son fotos las cuales podría catalogar de un tanto "disruptivas" en mis cotidianas caminatas por las calles de mi pueblo. Generalmente hago fotos de escenas callejeras, retratos de personas, fotos de animales, perros y cosas por el estilo. Pero algunas veces, en medio de todo aquello, me dejo seducir por colores, formas y texturas de objetos más puntuales y termino haciendo un puñado de fotos como estas, las cuales me gusta de vez en cuando recopilar, procesar y compartir con ustedes aquí en #Hive como una especia de "break" entre mis temáticas fotográficas más usuales... Pasen por favor adelante y disfruten de esta docenas de fotos de "otras cosas callejeras" que traje para ustedes hoy...

As always with my street photography series, variety is key here. And although I've selected photos that share the common characteristic of being captured in vertical format, you can find a little bit of everything... Complex abstractions, compositions with repetitive rhythms, unexpected shapes and textures, vintage elements, decay, even some movement and challenging color palettes; all this and more can be found in my archives when I dedicate myself to selecting these types of photographs, which tend to be somewhat "spaced out" from one another and require a bit more of my time to search for...

Como siempre, tratándose de mis series de fotos callejeras, la variedad está presente en esta. Y aunque he seleccionado fotos que tienen en común el ser capturas en formato vertical; aquí se puede encontrar de todo un poco... Abstracciones complejas, hasta composiciones con ritmo repetitivo, formas y texturas inesperadas, lo vintage, la decadencia, incluso algo de movimiento y cromatismo desafiante; todo esto y más puede ser hallado en mis archivos cuando me dedico a escoger este tipo de fotografías las cuales suelen estar un tanto "espaciadas" unas de otras y requieren algo de más de mi tiempo para hacer las búsquedas...

Obviously, the processing and editing of these photos is what I, for my own purposes, call "a festival of methodological anarchy." I simply take the RAW images and start making adjustments intuitively, sometimes excessively, even going so far as to compromise the very nature of the image in order to achieve the eloquence I desire from this type of photography. But it's something I truly enjoy, as there's a libertine air to it all, from chromatic license to compositional irreverence; everything is permissible here, as I see it...

Obviamente, el procesado y edición de estas fotos es lo que yo para mis efectos llamo "un festival de anarquía metodológica" y simplemente tomo las imágenes RAW y comienzo a hacer ajustes de forma intuitiva y algunas veces con desmesura, llegando incluso a atentar contra la naturaleza misma de la imagen en orden de logar toda la elocuencia que deseo de este tipo de fotos. Pero en realidad es algo que disfruto mucho, pues hay una aire libertino en todo esto, desde la licencia cromática hasta la irreverencia compositiva; todo es factible aquí según yo lo veo...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
