On the 12th of November, I was in Ward for work. Ward is about 265km from Christchurch and on that day, I traveled from Christchurch but it was a struggle to find the track that led to the cell site on the mountain with neighboring wind turbine mountains.
I got lost for quite a bit and luckily a woman noticed and drove up to me to ask if I needed help, she then helped with the direction that led me onto the track up the mountain. It was quite a drive and eventually I was at the top.
The remote teams were waiting for me, so I was under pressure to get the job done. The views up there was something else, I had almost 360⁰ views without mist when I arrived.
Not long the weather turned bad, a very slight rain started and the place got misty all of a sudden, I was disappointed the breathtaking views I intended to photograph after my job is gone, all I could see before me is misty with the thought to also get drive down before the tracks become slippery that could cause the vehicle to slide.
So I only got away with these photos 📸 and guess what? When I got back down on ground level there was no mist, it just tell how much high up I was on that mountain. I wish the job takes me there again some day.
