Sharing with you some of the photos we took while at the Marina Bay Sands Skypark. When the sun was about to settle down, we decided to go to the Skypark. We were supposed to go there on our first-day tour in the country but there was a long line as it was a weekend and we can't wait any longer so we decided to just postpone it to another day.
Thankfully, there was no waiting line on a Monday. We got inside the Skypark counter, the gentleman scanned our ticket and we headed up via an elevator. It was fast though and we were asked to pose as soon as we reached the top for a photo opportunity. It was a free one but if you want to get your photos, you will have to pay a certain amount. The photo is a manipulated one with the Singapore skyline at the back so we never had any intention of claiming our photos.
We were amazed by the view. It's very nice to be at the top and to see the skyrise buildings surrounding the bay, I know behind those tall skyscrapers are the communities now that are not visible from here. They got covered by the buildings. There are no seats at the Skypark. Anyone can stay here until whatever time you wanted but there are no seats. Thankfully, they allow the visitors to sit on the floor and so we did!
We watched the skyline change from day to darkness but what amazed me the most was the number of ships on Singapore's sea, some are docked, while a lot of them were just floating there. The Port of Singapore, which provides services and facilities for ships to dock, load and unload goods, has always been a key contributor to Singapore's economy.
Facing this view, I believe Singapore still has a lot of things to build. There are still more areas being developed and I believe in the next years, more skyscrapers will rise, and it will surely build more things that will attract foreigners to invest and tourists to enjoy.
I am not sure when we will be visiting Singapore again but I hope that by that time, we can afford a stay at Marina Bay Sands. Teehee!
