I'm thrilled to see bring the contest back to the community. Make certain to read all about the contest here: https://peakd.com/hive-1bringing-back-the-community-photography-contest-macro-theme
The theme for the current round of the contest is macro... and I don't have a macro lens. (Sigh.) Not to worry, however, I just remembered my wife has a macro lens for her camera and if I ask nicely I'm sure she will let me use it.
Flash forward an hour and I've now done the dishes and vacuumed the entire house and I have her Olympus E-M10iii and 60mm f/2.8 macro lens clutched firmly in my hands... Let's go shoot some macro! (All photos in this post were made today using her camera.)
Enough joking around, here's my entry for the professional tier...
1/100 second, f/8.0, ISO 400, 60mm
This is a sprig of tiny forget-me-not flowers showing the various stages of their development. First come the fuzzy purple buds, then a pink flower opens and shortly after that, it turns blue.
I'll show you a few other photos I made today just to round out the post:
Above: Very tiny pink wildflowers. I don't know what they're called but I always see these growing beside forget-me-nots.
Another look at forget-me-not flowers.
Blue wildflowers.
Purple wildflowers.
All photos were taken today by me, . Thanks very much for visiting!
