Good evening, friends in the Hiveverse! I’m already almost midnight here in Minneapolis so I’m slipping back to my old ways. I have to get to bed soon because and I are going to try and make it to a 9:30a.m. kickboxing class tomorrow morning. It’ll be our first one in a few weeks so I should rest. I bought a new iPad Mini today for illustration purposes and it began to sync a ton of old photos. They were mostly behind the scenes photos from shoots over the years but I thought it would be cool to share a of the moments behind the more iconic final images.
Firstly, in 2018, a Midwest model came to my home with my publisher, . This was because the final chapter of our book, Dark Pinup, was a few shoots short to finish Proclivities. All of these images were erotic, nude or fetish in nature and Kat, the model, was willing to help out. We set up an area in the living room and
helped assist with the set design, lighting and posing. It was a really stressful time for me, so having her to lend a hand was wonderful. She took this cute selfie or her and Kat together as we wrapped.
Next up, this is one of the most iconic shoots of my career, in fact, it would become the cover of the Dark Pinup book. My friend and I grew up in Scranton, PA and although we both moved several times and we’ve since lived in other cities, we made it back to our hometown for a visit and decided to shoot together.
was there for this shoot, too. We had access to the hallowed halls of a rectory in Plymouth, PA. Sometimes it all just falls in to place and the lighting and surroundings at this shoot was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better result.]
Lastly, this glimpse holds a lot of personal value for me even though the project itself never came to fruition. Myself, ,
and
embarked on a ghost hunting/paranormal type show that we were planning on releasing in seasons on
. COVID really fucked up our plans, but this candid moment was taken at
and it was during a simpler time. It was to be called the
, but at the very least, we got some great photos as early preproduction efforts.
