Inuksuk
I saw a beautiful Inuksuk stone at the beach the other day. I love taking nature photography like this. The sky colours, the cliff on the left side of the photo, the muddy beach, the green grass, and the stones at the beach behind the Inuksuk on the big rock all looked stunning.
I don't know who made this Inuksuk, but it is a super balanced and cool image in nature. An Inuksuk is a type of stone landmark (or cairn) built by and for the use of the Inuit and other peoples of the Arctic region of North America. We also do similar things in Japan. People stack stones near the river or at shrines. The meaning of stacking stones is usually to wish for luck or to perform a memorial service for ancestors or family members who have passed away.
I love stacking stones sometimes. This is such a healing action or a no-mind moment. This time, I didn't make anything, but I just wanted to take a beautiful photo.
This is another version of an Inuksuk that was behind the other one. I like the triangle one on the top of it. I used to like stacking blocks or stones like this when I was young, and I still enjoy doing it! Touching stones is such a healing activity. Calming actions are a very interesting form of human creativity.

イヌクシュク
先日、海辺で美しいイヌクシュクの写真を撮りました。私は自然のこういった写真を撮るのが好きです。空の色、写真の左上に見える崖、泥のビーチ、緑の水草、そして海を背にして大きな岩の上に置かれたイヌクシュクのイメージが素敵です。
どなたが作ったイヌクシュクかはわかりませんが、とってもバランスよく自然の中にあるかっこいいイメージです。イヌクシュクは北アメリカのイヌイットや他の方たちの伝統で目標やケルン（指標）として使用するもので、人の手によって積み上げられた石組のことです。日本でも同じように亡くなった家族や先祖の供養のために河岸に石を積み上げたり、願かけのために神社で石を積み上げたりする習慣がありますよね。
私も石を積み上げるのが好きでときどきします。心が無になったり癒される行動だと思います。今回、自分では作りませんでしたが、この写真を撮りたいと思いました。
こちらは先ほどのイヌクシュクの後ろ側にあった、もう一つのイヌクシュクです。いちばん上にのった三角の石がいいですね。小さな頃、積み木や石をこうやって積み上げるのが好きでした。今でも好きです。石を触るのはなんとも言えない癒しの時間だと思います。心が落ち着く行動をとるのは人間の興味深い行動だと感じます。
